German Shepherds at A Not So La-Z Ranch

Three adult German Shepherds (commonly misspelled germin sheperd, girman shephard or shepheard) reside at A Not So La-Z Ranch and are just as much a part of the family as the humans! They are often free to roam the ranch and are trained herders and very loyal companions. Their well-being is a top priority; we take great pride in nurturing their physical and mental health. All our German Shepherd Dogs are fed a raw diet consisting of ground beef, chicken, RAW bones, and other animal meats and fats. Some people refer to this as the BARF diet (Bones And Raw Food diet).

German Shepherds are especially prone to hip dysplasia and other joint problems, but feeding a raw (BARF) diet can eliminate or at least greatly help prevent these problems. Keeping a german shepherd lean also helps prevent these dreaded hip problems, as does avoiding dog food with corn and wheat in the ingredients. If you jog, walk, run, or simply take your watch dog for a stroll an hour a day, you can greatly decrease the likelihood that your protective dog will develop hip dysplasia (also spelled displasia). Another more important point is that you should purchase your german shepherd from a breeder that breeds for good hips.
